IT Laboratory Support Specialist (Biotechnology Industry) 100% Onsite
Location : Wisconsin, USA
Duration : Approximately 6 months, with potential for full-time conversion
Shift : Monday Friday, 8 AM 4 PM CST

Our client is seeking an IT Laboratory Support Specialist to join their team in Madison, WI. This role will be responsible for initiating, planning, and executing IT-related tasks to ensure timely project completion. The specialist will collaborate with various departments, including IT, Engineering, Facilities, and Quality, as well as functional business leaders and global IT teams, to ensure service levels align with project timelines and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities :
IT Project Management :
- Develop, execute, and monitor project schedules to meet tight deadlines.
- Prepare and issue requests for quotations and scope of work documents.
- Provide timely and professional updates on project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Identify and train a backup employee for coverage as needed.
Technical & Administrative Support :
Document and follow up on key actions and decisions from meetings.Assist project / program managers in meeting project deadlines.Provide administrative support and undertake project tasks as required.Identify and manage project issues and risks.IT Service Management :
Serve as the primary IT escalation point for site stakeholders.Coordinate with all IT service areas to ensure customer needs are met.Process service requests and resolve technical problems for clients.Research, evaluate, and provide technical solutions based on business requirements.Manage internal and external IT support, contractors, and vendors.Address advanced user technology issues with proven methods.Work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet deadlines or resolve issues.Qualifications & Skills :
Education :
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field (required).Equivalent IT work experience will be considered.Experience :
5 years of project management experience, including budget accountability.5 years of experience as an IT professional.Experience managing GxP-regulated system projects.Experience with network, telecom, and server support.Background in biotech, pharma, or life sciences manufacturing / laboratory environments.Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical manufacturing / laboratory systems.Technical & Leadership Skills :
Experience participating in or leading daily stand-ups and cross-functional meetings.Professional Project Management Qualification (preferred).IT Service Delivery and ITIL experience (preferred).ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool experience (preferred).Strong leadership, analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage stakeholder priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills.Ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
