What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist position at ProRank?
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join a healthcare team in Lancaster, PA.
Shift types available include traditional 40 or 32 hours per week, as well as a continuous weekend schedule (Friday through Sunday).
Key Responsibilities:
- CT Imaging: Perform routine, specialized, and diagnostic CT scans on patients safely and effectively.
- Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, address any concerns, and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Patient Safety: Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety, including proper shielding, radiation safety measures, and contrast usage.
- Image Quality: Review and assess CT images for clarity and quality, adjusting positioning or equipment settings as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper imaging and patient care.
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, including patient confidentiality (HIPAA), safety protocols, and infection control measures.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for CT scans by verifying identity, reviewing medical histories, and assessing any contraindications.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Completion of a specialized CT training program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R.T.(R)).
- ARRT certification in CT (R.T.(CT)) or eligibility to obtain it is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a CT Technologist in a healthcare setting is required.
- Experience with various CT imaging techniques (e.g., contrast injection, cardiac CT, neuroimaging) is a plus.
