IT Service Desk Technician - Entry-Level Opportunity
Are you passionate about technology? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving? Our client is looking for a Service Desk Technician to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience in IT support, or similar role.
Responsibilities
Staff the service desk queue, answering incoming calls and resolving technical issues.
Provide remote and in-person troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
Support users with standard agency applications, ensuring smooth operation.
Utilize Active Directory and / or Azure to manage user access and authentication.
Document troubleshooting steps clearly and concisely for knowledge base updates.
Evaluate software and hardware products for efficiency and applicability.
Contribute to a collaborative team, demonstrating flexibility when needed.
Lift up to 50 lbs. as required for hardware setup and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience in a similar technical support role.
Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Experience with Active Directory and / or Azure is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide range of IT issues.
Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate service records.
Understanding of emotional intelligence and customer relationship best practices in a service desk setting.
