Our client in the manufacturing space is looking for an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its finance team. With a global presence and a commitment to quality and innovation, this company has been providing high-performance solutions for decades.

Position Overview:

The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with vendors and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify purchase orders, and secure necessary approvals.
• Oversee payment cycles, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable records and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, process incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of AP and AR transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable aging reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Manage vendor and customer records in line with company policies.
• Address inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding payment matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience in AP/AR functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector is a plus.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour DOE
