Senior Assistant Solicitor
The Coweta County Solicitor-General’s Office is seeking a Senior Assistant Solicitor that’s an experienced legal professional that will prosecute misdemeanor criminal cases. This position includes case management, mentoring junior attorneys, legal research, drafting documents, courtroom appearances, and all other duties as assigned.
The qualified applicant will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience. In addition, this position requires exceptional communication skills to effectively represent the state in court and to navigate intricate legal issues.
Preferred Qualifications: All applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience in trial advocacy. Supervisory experience is a plus. All applicants must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or be in good standing of another state’s bar association that is eligible for reciprocity admittance to the State Bar of Georgia; and be admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. All candidates are subject to a background check. Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
