What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Lavatory Service Agent position at Prospect Airport Services?
Duties:
Lavatory agents are responsible for emptying, flushing and filling onboard systems on commercial aircraft in a safe and timely manner according to airline and regulatory requirements. This also includes operating vehicles on the ramp along with positioning equipment around aircraft and other vehicles. Other items include;
- Assure proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable) and follow safety procedures including the use of PPE (safety vest, face shield ear plugs, etc.)
- Safe operation of any vehicle around aircraft in an airport ramp environment
- Ability to comprehend and execute safe procedures concerning bloodborne pathogens and universal precaution controls
- Follow all local environmental procedures in emptying waste trucks and fueling only in designated areas
- Complete daily pre-operational equipment checks (POI's) electronically
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record along with the ability to pass a federal background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to physically perform required work
- Professional appearance
- Must have conversational English skills
- Dependable, self motivated and responsible
- Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule, including weekends
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge & CBP/FIS clearance
