Role Overview
As a Full Stack Engineer at Prospect, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable software systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities. Working directly with customers and cross-functional teams, you will help craft product specifications from the ground up and build end-to-end solutions that make a tangible impact throughout the firm, from back-office operations and investment committee workflows to other internal functions.
Key Responsibilities
Innovate and Deploy
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to translate business challenges into technical specifications.
- Architect and develop robust front-end interfaces using modern frameworks and back-end systems leveraging microservices and cloud platforms.
- Integrate AI-driven functionalities to automate intricate processes and optimize operational workflows
Optimize and Scale
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ensure high performance and reliability across deployed systems
- Engage in continuous performance tuning and system enhancements to meet evolving customer needs.
Deliver Impact
- Work closely with industry experts, and internal teams to ensure solutions are aligned with real-world challenges and deliver measurable improvements.
- Take ownership of projects end-to-end, from initial design through production deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in full stack software engineering with proven expertise in both front-end and back-end development.
- Proficient in modern web technologies such as React (or comparable frameworks), Typescript, and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for backend development and data management.
- Experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and building scalable data pipelines.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, developing product specifications, and translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating AI and machine learning components into production systems.
- Familiarity with contemporary development tooling and agile methodologies.
- Experience working in alternative investments or finance environments, bringing a nuanced understanding of financial systems and investment strategies to drive innovative solutions.

Location: This role is primarily in-person at our New York office. Candidates may work remotely if based in the West Coast.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 plus annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.
