What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician (CVT preferred) position at Prospect Park Veterinary Clinic?

Responsibilities:
- Assist in low stress animal handling, restraint, and examination
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Phlebotomy and proper specimen handling
- Anesthesia Monitoring / Dental Prophylaxis / Aseptic Technique
- Ability to read and interpret a patient's medical records
- Educate pet owners on preventive care and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (preferred)
- Knowledge of diseases processes and medical terminology
- Experience in low stress animal handling, restraint, and phlebotomy
- Must be professional with outstanding customer service
-Experience in surgery and anesthesia (preferred)
-Ability to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time
-Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
-Basic computer skills

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
