Marisol Trautmann, DDS, MS practices a full scope of prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry with expertise ranging from porcelain veneers, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
Prosper Dental Health is hiring a Hygiene Coordinator to join our amazing front office team. The primary purpose of the Hygiene Coordinator position is to maintain good relationships with new and existing patients, actively assist in filling the hygiene schedule, onboard and schedule all new patients, and welcome all patients into our practice, as you will be the first face they see when they walk through our doors. Another primary responsibility is to reactivate unscheduled patients.
Essential duties:
· Appropriately manage multiple incoming calls, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries with a pleasant demeanor.

· Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the clinic, you are the face of the practice, as you are the first face a patient will see when walking through our doors.
· Enter all referral patients into Open Dental.
· Send new patient welcome email and required paperwork.
· Collect and verify patient’s insurance information prior to their scheduled appointment. Reach out for updated insurance information if the plan on file is now inactive.
· Follow up with insurance companies on denied claims and work closely with the front office team to respond accordingly.
· Ensure Health History forms are completed, submitted, and updated annually.
· Ensure the necessary radiographs are obtained and or scheduled.
· Schedule new patient exams, reschedule when needed.
· Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
· Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.
· Respond to patient inquiries via email, website, etc.
· Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
· Learn to operate new office technology as they are developed and implemented.
· Manage hygiene re-care/recall ensuring that patients are scheduled for their next cleaning and applicable radiographs.
· Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits as necessary.
· Confirm patient appointments according to office policies.
· Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
· Must maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Qualifications
· High School, GED, diploma
· One to Two years of dental office experience
· Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
· Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
· Open Dental, Dental Intelligence, Dental HQ, and/or Weave experience a plus!
