Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Five (5) years of accounting or municipal accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant for the State of Texas and/or governmental fund accounting experience, preferred.
Under limited direction, the Senior Accountant manages and provides skilled accounting work for capital projects, grants, capital assets, escrow, developer agreement, Vehicle Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF) and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) funds. Provides daily financial oversight to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate, and comply with polices and procedures.
