POSITION PURPOSE
Under limited supervision will provide administrative support by performing varied duties. Will also assist with handling customer requests for service in accordance with establishment guidelines and policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Participates with and assists with loans
- Coordinates with various companies on loans
- Provides administrative and operational support within the Lending function; assists in handling loans
- Operates with no credit authority
- Obtains financial data and provides customer service on approved lines of credit, equipment, financing
loans, etc.
- Will follow up and communicate consistently with clients, and provides other customer service as required
- Coordinates the daily workflow in and out of the area to ensure that current loans are in complete
conformity with terms
- Establishes and maintains appropriate files and records for loan documents
- Provide information necessary for loan preparation
- May organize and schedule loan closings
- Provide customer service for Depository and Treasury services
- Gather credit and loan information from customers to complete request for loan transactions
- Coordinate loan packages and documentation for customer’s signature
- Examine loan terms, interest rates and funded within established time frames
- Assures the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of activities in these areas through proper planning
and scheduling
- Develops and prepares reports and records relating to loans as required
- Drafts necessary documents and agreements
- Provides customers with routine platform services, such as approving checks for cashing or handling
customer problems.
- Will handle marketing initiatives
- Communicates/coordinates loan closings with the title company
- Works loan exceptions
- Need to work with and communicate with business vendors.” For example: Insurance Agencies, Home Builder’s, County Tax Office, etc.
- Work with title companies and attorneys.
- All other duties as required by the job

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED
Required Knowledge: A minimum of one to eight years Lending Assistant experience
Experience Required: Specialized lending experience for the related area within the Lending department a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions with limited guidance
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and instill trust within the organization
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
40 hours per week.
