Overview:
As an Admissions Coordinator at a national behavioral health provider, you will play a vital role in guiding individuals and their families through the admissions process. Your compassionate and knowledgeable approach will ensure a smooth transition into our program, where individuals can receive the support they need to overcome substance abuse.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Intake: Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate potential clients' needs and determine eligibility for admission into our program.
- Admissions Guidance: Provide information and guidance to prospective clients and their families regarding treatment options, program details, financial obligations, and insurance coverage.
- Coordination: Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and insurance providers to facilitate admissions and ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to admissions, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Support: Offer emotional support and encouragement to individuals and families navigating the admissions process, demonstrating understanding and empathy for their unique situations.
- Follow-up: Maintain regular communication with clients and their families throughout the admissions process, providing updates and addressing any additional needs or concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all admissions-related activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in admissions, intake coordination, or customer service within a healthcare or behavioral health setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental attitude towards individuals struggling with substance abuse, coupled with a commitment to supporting their recovery journey.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and understanding of HIPAA regulations preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
