Director of Nursing

Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in nursing and management, particularly within acute care and home care settings. The Director of Nursing will be instrumental in developing policies, managing nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews of medical records to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels for optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
• Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure proper training and development opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills in acute care, home care, and MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments.
• Review documentation regularly to maintain high standards of patient care and compliance with nursing home regulations.

Skills

• Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to nursing practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
