Summary:
This position is for an operations analyst that will deploy, monitor and support ongoing operations of multiple enterprise software application systems. Responsible for working as a member of the Operations team that is responsible for the day to day operations of application systems developed and maintained by the company. This includes understanding deployment, configuration and operational duties within those systems, troubleshooting user reported issues, and providing initial analysis of issues to development teams for issues that required changes to those systems. It will also include fulfilling documentation and governance responsibilities within the change management processes for those systems.
This position will involve overnight and weekend responsibilities as needed.
Essential Functions:
Executing the nightly and weekend operational cycles in production for core business systems
Executing operational cycles for multiple test and development environments
Monitoring operational cycles for issues, and alerting the appropriate teams
Deployment of internally developed applications to all development, QA and production environments
Managing the system configurations for development, QA and production environments
Managing the setup and configuration of new non-production environments
Documentation and tracking of deployed changes and versioning to all environments
Monitor, support and do initial troubleshooting of user reported issues from external web application
Identify and distribute identified issues to either the responsible business unit or development teams based on issue research
Responsible for installing major software upgrades on servers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic IIS Administration
Basic SQL Server Administration
Basic Microsoft SharePoint Administration
.NET Configuration Management
PowerShell and Command Line Tool Usage
Basic skills with XML, HTML and CSS
System troubleshooting and basic debugging skills
Basic skills in logic and scripting
Basic knowledge of Azure and Sharepoint
Familiarity with best practices in production and lower environments
Education & Experience:
Preferred 4 years’ experience with software development or systems administration
Prior development experience with Microsoft platform tools & technologies
Exposure to Life Insurance and Annuity business a bonus
Licenses & Certifications:
None required
Completion of LOMA insurance courses I and II required within first year of employment
Supervision & Leadership:
No Supervision responsibilities

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
