Job Overview:
As a Rubber Injection Molder at Prospira, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining rubber injection molding machines to produce high-quality rubber components. Your role will involve setting up molds, monitoring the molding process, and ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are crucial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Operate and monitor rubber injection molding machines, including setting parameters, loading raw materials, and adjusting machine settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Mold Setup and Maintenance: Install and align molds, perform routine maintenance on molds and machinery, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, ensure compliance with specifications, and document production data.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and report any safety hazards or concerns.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, recommend changes, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate production records, including daily logs, maintenance records, and quality control reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience as a Rubber Injection Molder or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is desirable, but not a must.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of molding processes, machine setup, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with rubber compounds and their properties is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and process-related issues effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
