Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the warehouse, managing staff, ensuring efficient inventory control, and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will ensure that all warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, and storage, run smoothly and efficiently to support production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring a high level of performance and teamwork.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Ensure the accurate and timely movement of materials in and out of the warehouse.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform inventory management, including stock tracking, cycle counts, and stock audits.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce errors.
- Train, develop, and mentor warehouse team members.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage the preparation and organization of shipments to meet production deadlines.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
- Report on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and staff productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification preferred).
- 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Familiarity with safety and OSHA regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Forklift certification and experience (preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other warehouse management software.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
