Upholstery Trimmer
Hours : Mon-Thurs 6am-4 : 30pm, OT on Fri as needed
Pay : Dependent on experience, production pay
ProStaffing has teamed up with a reputable furniture company in the Conover area to find an experienced Upholstery Trimmer! The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying trim to upholstered furniture pieces, ensuring a high-quality finish. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and experience with hand and power tools. The Upholstery Trimmer will work closely with other upholsterers to complete each piece to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities :
- Attach various types of trim, such as braid, gimp, piping, skirts, or binding, to furniture frames using glue, staples, or tacks.
- Read and interpret work tickets to ensure correct trim placement and style.
- Utilize hand tools (pliers, tack hammers, trimming tools) and power tools (staple guns) for trim application.
- Inspect trim application for evenness, alignment, and overall aesthetic appeal.
- Match trim colors and textures to upholstery fabric for a cohesive finish.
- Perform minor spot repairs on trim when necessary.
