Pro Tech Mechanical, a Crete United company, was established in March of 2000 as a Commercial HVAC Service Company and is now a full MEP Mechanical Contractor covering the entire South Texas Region. We are currently looking to add an Sales Representative for the Houston market. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be able to join our team at a high growth time. If you have experience in HVAC service, mechanical projects, and enjoy building a book of business, we would like to speak with you.
Major function and purpose of the position
- Promote sales of new construction, upgrades and replacement of obsolete equipment and components. Follow up with new construction clients at appropriate time to offer Services and PM Contracts.
- Respond to customer inquiries for equipment additions to existing systems and modernization.
- Work with the estimators and Management team to identify new opportunities for upgrades and replacements.
- Work with sales team to develop strategies on a project by project and regional basis.
- Publishes reports during the month to communicate progress against goal/targets.
- Work to achieve growth targets with respect to both revenue and profit.
- Ensures an understanding of business goals and creates energy and action toward those goals.
- Demonstrates good negotiation, planning & interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive communications.
- PC skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, projects and presentation software.
- Assist in coordinating and tracking department employee training.
- Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers by determining project needs, constraints and responsibilities to meet all of the customer HVAC requirements.
- Use ROI selling strategies to address customer operational and environmental objectives, needs and asset management requirements.
- Demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
- Builds partnering relationships with customers and individuals responsible for decision-making process to steer the sale of service offerings. Understands the customers’ business and speaks their language.
- Can effectively write, present and communicate proposals and negotiate value and close the sale.
- Positively and credibly influences system/service solutions with customers. Frequently creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, cost/benefit analysis.
- Manages multiple ongoing opportunities, focusing on selling service contracts, turnkey projects and repairs.
- Solicits support from and communicates effectively with the entire service, sales and estimating team.
- Keeps weekly/monthly account business activity reports and annual forecasts.
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours as required.
Minimum qualifications:
- Education: BA Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field preferred.
- Experience: 5 plus years’ in a Sales role. Demonstrates effectiveness in negotiations, multi-site interfaces, and commercial management or review of contracts and development and implementation company strategies.
- Skills: Leadership capabilities. Effective communication and language skills; verbal and written. Good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Construction, HVAC, Chillers, Boilers preferred
Spends 80% of time at client facilities, job sites or working outside and near heavy equipment. Field conditions – high noise levels, heavy machinery, bad weather conditions, and unknown hazards – safety equipment will be required. Local and regional travel is necessary.
