What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance technician position at PROtech Staffing Solutions?
Responsibilities : -Create, develop, and oversee all maintenance procedures and plans to sustain peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
Inspect and identify areas of improvement in all preventive maintenance procedures.-Respond to machine breakdowns during a 5-day / week, 24-hour production schedule-Molding Department : Repair of 65 to 730 ton injection molding machines, automated equipment / robots, fixtures, safety equipment, air compressors, and water chillers.
Coordinate outside service when necessary.-Tooling Department : Repair of CNC machinery, lathes, grinders, Bridgeports, and compressors.
Coordinate outside service when necessary.-Facility : Troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance includes plant utilities, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, painting, drywall, and HVAC.
Coordinate outside service when necessary.-Maintain adequate supply of frequently used parts and supplies. Requisition and restock as needed.
Provide information and / or communicate the ordering of parts and equipment from vendors.-Monitor and notify Operations Manager concerning any necessary equipment repairs, safety hazards, damages, or acts of vandalism.
Communicate environmental, safety & health hazards to management, and maintain OSHA compliance.-Establish and ensure safety inspection program for all machines, fixtures, and safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc.
Secure and maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, tools, materials, and supplies in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
Requirements : -Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-3 years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.-Prior injection molding experience preferred.-Ability to work at fast pace with attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written directions.-Must be able to work independently.
