IT Systems Support Specialist
This position provides daily support to our staff relating to desktop and mobile computers, telecommunications, printers/scanners, and application support, as well. In this role, it is critical to have great communication skills to provide help to our staff with technology needs, both proactively and reactively. This person will need to be both consultive in their support approach and be able to troubleshoot technological problems quickly in order to provide a timely solution. The ideal candidate will possess critical troubleshooting skills with a patient, caring, and engaging manner. Interpersonal skills are important in this position as this person will need to help staff members who are experiencing problems with their technology while under tight deadlines and deliverables. Knowing how to prioritize which problems and team members to work with first is necessary to resolve the most critical situations relative to other work. After-hours support is necessary sometimes but will be coordinated when possible.
Skills Needed: Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience is needed in the following support areas:
Specific skill areas:
- Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Cloud computing technologies (i.e. Microsoft OneDrive, DropBox, etc.)
- Microsoft SharePoint (creation and administration of sites and permissions)
- Apple iPhone and iOS
- Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, display, and connectivity standards
- Troubleshooting techniques for technology related issues
- NAS and server hardware experience is helpful
