Minimum Education/ Skills:
High School Diploma or the equivalent plus a minimum of two years medical office experience required for a strong knowledge of medical office policy/procedures. Knowledge of medicare, medicaid, MCHMOs and commercial third party payers. Must have strong computer skills and excellent communication skills. Prior experience working in an Orthotic/Prosthetic Facility or DME Company preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.
Job duties:
- Register new patients into medical management software system and update as needed
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify Benefits
- Manage clinician's multi site schedules to include hospital/clinic and school settings
- Request clinical and prescriptions as needed
- Display excellent customer service skills and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and patients.
Privately owned O&P Facility established in 1988 specializing in pediatrics. We fabricate and fit patients with artificial limbs and braces. We have an immediate opening for FT Medical Secretary. Candidates must display excellent communication and customer service skills and have the ability to multi task.
