What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at PROTHOTIC LABORATORY INC?
Minimum Education/ Skills:
High School Diploma or the equivalent plus a minimum of two years medical office experience required for a strong knowledge of medical office policy/procedures. Knowledge of medicare, medicaid, MCHMOs and commercial third party payers. Must have strong computer skills and excellent communication skills. Prior experience working in an Orthotic/Prosthetic Facility or DME Company preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.
Job duties:
Register new patients into medical management software system and update as needed
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify Benefits
- Manage clinician's multi site schedules to include hospital/clinic and school settings
- Request clinical and prescriptions as needed
- Display excellent customer service skills and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and patients.
