Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Employment & Labor Senior Associate/Counsel with our client.
Job Description:
- Client is seeking a highly motivated, senior associate or counsel with six years of experience to join its Employment and Labor practice group.
- At least six or more years of experience with counseling and defending both (1) single-plaintiff employment cases and (2) class and collective actions in wage and hour cases and class wide allegations of unfair employment practices.
- Experience counseling and advising employers in employment matters, including discipline/discharge, discrimination/harassment, restrictive covenants, ADA/FMLA compliance, and wage and hour issues.
- Experience taking and defending depositions, managing written discoveries, and drafting and arguing motions.
- Experience drafting complex class and collective certification opposition briefs.
- Experience drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, position statements, employee handbooks, and other employment-related documents.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, superior analytical skills, and the ability to manage client engagements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and assume a high degree of responsibility.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience.
- Bachelor's Law Degree required
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $295K-$360K.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
