Shift: 1st | Hours: 7A - 4P 
Pay Range: $21 - $25/hr

Job Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible to pack, ship, wrap and label all products, as well as to create labels for shipments (UPS & FedEx). The Shipping Clerk with also handle all incoming material orders as well as pick and drop off for various outside processing activities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Shipping:
•    Wrap and package parts to secure safe transit
•    Ensure the actual quantity and parts match required quantity and print
•    Perform cycle counts on part inventory.
•    Perform other duties as assigned
Receiving:
•    Receive material and supplies
•    Verify qty and condition of goods 
•    Perform other duties as assigned
Outside Process:
•    Wrap parts to prevent damage in transit
•    Record accurate count of parts on the work order
•    Label parts for outside processing as required per internal procedures
•    Perform other duties as assigned
End of Day:
•    Check inspection to ensure no additional parts are expected to ship
•    Complete jobs for outside process and delivery that are leaving the next morning
•    Print UPS end of day reports
•    Make a hub run if needed

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Basic mathematics and computer skills
• Basic level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to safely operate forklift

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in a shipping/warehouse environment is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand/power tools, etc., and handle and feel parts of various size.
• Ability to bend, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout the shift.
• Ability to push, pull or lift 75 lbs. moderately throughout the workday.
• Ability to focus vision for: close vision, color vision, depth perception and adjusting to sharp focus.
• Perform other duties as assigned 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Noise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and/or by request.
• Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles 
• Moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Fast-paced environment

WORK HOURS: 

• 1st Shift Work Schedule: 5 – 8-hour shifts
• Overtime as necessary 
• Flexible scheduling in agreement with supervisor

TRAVEL: 
Travel is possible within the Sacramento region to deliver/pick up parts using a company vehicle.
