Job Summary : The Shipping Clerk is responsible to pack, ship, wrap and label all products, as well as to create labels for shipments (UPS & FedEx). The Shipping Clerk with also handle all incoming material orders as well as pick and drop off for various outside processing activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Shipping :
- Wrap and package parts to secure safe transit
- Ensure the actual quantity and parts match required quantity and print
- Perform cycle counts on part inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Receiving :
Receive material and suppliesVerify qty and condition of goodsPerform other duties as assignedOutside Process :
Wrap parts to prevent damage in transitRecord accurate count of parts on the work orderLabel parts for outside processing as required per internal proceduresPerform other duties as assignedEnd of Day :
Check inspection to ensure no additional parts are expected to shipComplete jobs for outside process and delivery that are leaving the next morningPrint UPS end of day reportsMake a hub run if neededTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES :
Basic mathematics and computer skillsBasic level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Valid driver's license requiredAbility to safely operate forkliftBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES :

Ability to sit for extended periods.Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand / power tools, etc., and handle and feel parts of various size.Ability to bend, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout the shift.Ability to push, pull or lift 75 lbs. moderately throughout the workday.Ability to focus vision for : close vision, color vision, depth perception and adjusting to sharp focus.Perform other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT :
Noise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and / or by request.Exposure to fumes and / or airborne particlesMoving mechanical parts and vibrationFast-paced environmentWORK HOURS :
1st Shift Work Schedule : 5 - 8-hour shiftsOvertime as necessaryFlexible scheduling in agreement with supervisorTRAVEL :
Travel is possible within the Sacramento region to deliver / pick up parts using a company vehicle.
