Job Description

The Residential Director (Social Worker) will oversee the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents while managing staff and program activities. This position requires a strong background in social work and residential care, with the ability to implement and monitor programs designed to support individuals in a residential setting.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide supervision and support to staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Collaborate with medical, therapeutic, and support services to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
• Monitor program budget and resources, ensuring efficient use of funds while maintaining high-quality services.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment, addressing any concerns or incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  
  

Qualification/Experience

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Minimum of 4 years of administrative and supervision experience in counseling, health care management, substance abuse, and mental health services with director supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of community resources and advocacy services.
• Knowledge of the socio-cultural characteristics of the services population.
• Be able to exercise situational leadership skills ranging from task management to strategic leadership.
• Knowledge of NC Division of MHDDSAS service definitions, requirements, and compliance rules and regulations.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues.
• Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills..
