The Residential Director (Social Worker) will oversee the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents while managing staff and program activities. This position requires a strong background in social work and residential care, with the ability to implement and monitor programs designed to support individuals in a residential setting.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide supervision and support to staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Collaborate with medical, therapeutic, and support services to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Monitor program budget and resources, ensuring efficient use of funds while maintaining high-quality services.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment, addressing any concerns or incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Minimum of 4 years of administrative and supervision experience in counseling, health care management, substance abuse, and mental health services with director supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of community resources and advocacy services.
- Knowledge of the socio-cultural characteristics of the services population.
- Be able to exercise situational leadership skills ranging from task management to strategic leadership.
- Knowledge of NC Division of MHDDSAS service definitions, requirements, and compliance rules and regulations.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues.
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills..
