Summary
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented web content creator to join our team during the redesign of our website. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in content creation with experience in plain language, UX design, and / or content strategy.

Hourly wage : $32.00 hour
Expected Hours - 18 - 22 hrs. / week
All Program Support employees do not accrue Town benefits and may not work more than 950 hours in a rolling 12-month period.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities :
Content Creation and Management :
Write, edit, and optimize web content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, to enhance user experience, engagement, and accessibility.
Content Review and Quality Assurance :
Review and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with content strategy and guidelines.
S takeholder Communication :
Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather content requirements and provide updates on project progress.
Documentation and Guidelines :
Create content guidelines and approval processes to ensure consistency and quality across all web pages.
Project Management Assistance :
Assist in the planning and execution of the website redesign project, ensuring that content-related tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Minimum Qualifications
1-2 years' experience in writing for the web and digital content creation, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content.
Some familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools, experience with Granicus is a bonus
Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
Experience with user testing and content optimization.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Temporary (Program Suppport) employees are not eligible to receive benefits.
