Tool Room Associate

Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently hiring for Tool Room Technicians for a die casting manufacturing facility located in Liberty, SC.

Currently 2nd and 3rd shift positions available.

2nd shift hours - 3:00pm - 11:00pm, $17/hr.

3rd shift hours - 11:00pm - 7:00am, $17/hr. with $1 shift differential

Job Summary:

The Tool Room Technician is responsible for assisting the preparation of dies, their components for set-up and the preparation of dies for repair.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Perform shot sleeve, ladle, bushings, knockout bars, die clamps, plunger tip, and other setup tooling inventories
• Per tooling schedule, pull dies to provide to Tool Room personnel for preparation for set up
• Wash dies coming from Production before being placed into Tool Room for repair and/or maintenance
• Ensure all related components have been correctly identified and placed with die prior to being provided to Production for set-up.
• Keep die storage area neat and organized
• Clean, maintain, and evaluate shot sleeves
• Inform tool room manager/engineer of sleeves that need to be reworked or replaced
• Prepare dies and die components for shipment
• Basic knowledge of tooling parts and supplies
• Utilize gauges, calipers, etc

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Prior experience in injection mold maintenance, repair and troubleshooting, preferred but not required

2. CNC/mills/lathe experience preferred but not required

3. Able to work without close supervision and ability to multi-task.

4. Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.

5. Valid and up to date Forklift License.

1. Wear all required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, head protection.

2. Comply with all established safety rules and policies.

3. Report unsafe conditions, all accidents, and near misses immediately to Supervisor or Manager.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
