Our client, a leading producer of premium food products, seeks a highly qualified Director of Quality Assurance to oversee multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, quality assurance leadership, and a deep understanding of food safety regulations.
About the Role
- Oversee and implement Quality Control policies, procedures, and directives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government regulations. Lead the plant’s SQF certification program. Conduct customer audits and annual SQF audits. Develop and maintain the HACCP plan and train plant personnel on quality programs. Collaborate with the USDA on preoperational and operational inspections. Develop and maintain robust quality control systems / programs, including Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbial Testing, and Defense. Perform pre-shipment reviews, CCP validations, and reports on deficiencies related to GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs. Conduct microbiological testing on finished products, environmental, and direct food contact surfaces. Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department. Oversee inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Investigate and respond to customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
