As Specs and Labels Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our breaded products meet the highest quality and compliance standards. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, from production to marketing, and play a key role in bringing new and innovative products to market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive production specifications for new products.
- Creating and managing USDA-compliant product labels.
- Submitting label approvals to the USDA.
- Reviewing packaging materials (films, labels, boxes) for accuracy and compliance.
- Managing specification changes and staying up-to-date on evolving USDA regulations.
- Leading and mentoring the Specs and Labels, Breaded team.
What we're looking for:
- A high school diploma is required; some colleges preferred.
- 5 years of experience in food labeling, food safety, and/or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of USDA food labeling regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), Adobe Acrobat, and Bartender labeling software.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
