Job Description :
- Accepting candidates with 2 years of experience or first-timers.
- Position requires floating between units.
- On-call duty is required, involving a rotating schedule of weekday and weekend calls, typically 2-4 weekdays per month and 1 weekend every six weeks.
- Weekend shifts are required, approximately one weekend every six weeks, with occasional need to cover weekend day shifts when other staff are on PTO.
- Block scheduling is required.
- Expect a patient ratio of 1 : 1.
- Facility type : Short Term Acute Care with a teaching environment.
- Scrub color for all departments is any color; provided for OR / Cath Lab.
- Not required to have COVID-19 vaccination.
- Compliance involves completing non-billable modules with an average of 16 hours spent, though over 20 hours requires approval.
- Orientation involves 40 non-billable hours.
- RTO : Up to 6 days total or 3 consecutive days are approved. Requests beyond this may impact the offer process.
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 following holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
- References : Minimum of 2 supervisory references required covering the last three years within a comparable specialty / setting.
- Expected to float between sister facilities nearby.
- Must meet background policy requirements prior to submission.
- Return staff must wait 3 months between permanent and travel roles.
- Communication devices will be provided as needed for assignments.
