Education:
- A high school graduate or equivalent with training in generally accepted
- office procedures.
- Must be responsible, dependable, and mature – able to make independent decisions when
- circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be polite, friendly, courteous, and have a pleasant personality.
- Must be neat in appearance.
- Must have good references and favorable background checks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at
times hostile people within the home.
2. Understand the role of administration in marketing the home and its services.
3. Assist in assuring that the facility personnel, residents, visitors, etc. follow established
safety regulations to include fire protection / prevention, smoking regulations, infection
control, etc.
4. Must be knowledgeable of state, federal and corporate regulations and guidelines
pertaining to assisted living homes.
5. Assist by maintaining required records for personnel.
6. Assist by maintaining admission and financial files on all active residents.
7. Ensure all Receivables are collected timely and notify the Administrator of any amount
which is not collected by the late date.
8. Answer the telephone for the facility.
9. Assist in making trips about town to pick up and deliver needed items and paperwork.
10. Assist in arranging for payment of bills the facility incurs.
11. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
12. Give directions / information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
13. Operate computers, copiers, office machines, etc.
14. Report all unsafe / hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor
immediately.
15. Reports any violation of residents’ rights to supervisor immediately.
16. Follows policy and procedures and reports any breach of same to supervisor.
17. Responsible for initiating the onboarding process for all new hires.
18. Responsible for keeping up to date files for each employee and each resident.
