What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Worker position at PROVIDENCE Baptist Church CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER?
We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and have fun with a group of 10 children 6-9 years old. The hours for this afternoon position are 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. The job runs from May 21st through August 1st. Must be able to work each day for the hours listed. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma. The ideal candidate will have CPR certification or willing to obtain that certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in various camp activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Provide childcare and support, addressing the individual needs of campers.
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain order during group activities.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain CPR certification.
- Foster a positive atmosphere through sports coaching, tutoring, and creative activities.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to plan and execute educational and recreational programs.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
