What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Program position at Providence Community Health Centers?
Providence Community Health Centers' (PCHC) Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Program is a 24-month post-graduate Primary Care Residency that provides advanced clinical skills training through fully supervised, direct primary care experience within a community health center.
It is an intensive clinical program that is intended to prepare recently graduated FNPs (0-24 months post-graduation) to function as PCPs who meet the needs of culturally diverse and clinically complex patients typical of community health centers. Candidates are expected to develop and maintain their own panel of patients in order to facilitate continuity of care. Candidates will work with faculty with a wide variety of expertise and clinical interests, including women's health, family medicine, addiction medicine, chronic illness care, complementary medicine, office procedures, and new models of health care delivery. PCHC consistently undertakes quality improvement initiatives and encourages candidates' participation around innovation in delivery of care. Candidates have the opportunity to engage in a number of specialties and will work closely with PCHC's family medicine providers.
