Summary
Registered Nurse license
- Responsible for the delivery and oversight of all patient care services, maintaining broad responsibilities for all medical and non medical administrative functions and overseeing all aspects of practice operations including financial performance.
- Ensure clinical sessions are adequately staffed with appropriate clinical and administrative staff.
- Work collaboratively with senior management team to develop the center's budget; responsible for budget management. Work within the budget to ensure the health center's effective operation.
- Support implementation of new programs and services through resource planning and allocation.
- Ensure clinic compliance with regulatory standards.
- Patient Services
- Oversee clinic operations with respect to appointment scheduling, patient flow, and medical records. Responsible for maintaining efficiency through provider scheduling; managing urgent care and identifying gaps in services.
- Maximize use of available staffing resources. Arrange for staff coverage where needed. Work closely with COO to analyze the delivery of patient care services and to identify strategies to fill identified gaps.
- Coordinates staff training, orientation of new staff and retraining to further the professional development of the staff and improvement of patient care delivery.
- Supervise nurses, health center assistants, aides, counselors, medical records staff, security, housekeeping, and front desk staff, including discipline and grievance resolution, performance evaluations, competency reviews as well as ongoing reviews.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing or college preferred. Current RN Rhode Island state license required.
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in management or health related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years hospital, medical clinic or community health experience plus a minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills and bicultural experiences strongly valued.
- Experience working productively with professional and clinical staff required; demonstrated leadership, management ability and supervisory skills. Skills in motivating individuals and developing group cohesiveness. Decision making and problem solving ability skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing
- Experience in managed care coordination of services.
- Commitment to working in community health with the challenges of a high risk and often uninsured and diverse patient population required.
- Computer proficiency required, report preparation and ability to provide presentation required.
