What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reception Clerk (Nazareth Inn) position at Providence Community Housing?
We are currently seeking a full-time Reception Clerk to join our team, specifically focused on working with seniors. Previous experience in leading and occupancy functions, property management duties, or loan processing with HUD program guidelines is preferred. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties depending on the property including managing front desk and office presence, monitoring visitors and access, coordinating office supplies, and/or assisting with resident recertification and clerking duties.
Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1,700 residential units developed to date, Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes, Inc. and is proud to add their 60-year history of excellence to our team managing over 2,400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities.
We're looking for a candidate who:
- Has a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive, supportive environment
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Detailed-oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Is comfortable using computers and property management software
- Has knowledge of HUD policies and procedures governing subsidized elderly housing and recertification including experience working with the elderly, nonprofit, or property management experience is a plus
- Is reliable, adaptable, and ready to handle occasional on-call responsibilities
