What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/PCA- Floater position at Providence Companion Care of TN?
Description:
The purpose of this role is to fill in as needed as a non-medical in-home caregiver throughout the areas that Providence Companion Care provides services to clients. The caregiver will be required to have open availability Monday through Friday each week from 8am-5pm. The caregiver will be notified when open shifts are available and need coverage throughout the week. The caregiver floater will be willing to cover any shift that is assigned to them in their area within the agreed timeframe.
In addition to a pay rate of $14.75/hr, the floater will also be given $100 a week to compensate for travel expenses. This $100 will be paid to each floater regardless of whether any shifts are assigned to them weekly or not. When shifts are assigned, the floater will receive the guaranteed weekly $100 plus the normal hourly rate of $14.75/hr while on shift.
Job Duties:
Caregiver Floater will follow all policies and procedures set in place by Providence Companion Care.
Caregiver Floater will be required to answer or return any phone calls within 30 minutes of receiving them from Providence office staff.
Providence Companion Care is a non-medical agency who provides services to the aging population. Caregiver Job duties may include but are not limited to:
Light household cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, dishes, trash, meal prep, cooking, running errands, grocery shopping and other tasks requested by the client within the scope of light household keeping.
Assistance with personal care to include bathing, dressing, grooming, assistance with incontinence, mobility and transfers.
Basic knowledge of medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, hospice care and other prevalent medical conditions that can affect the aging population.
