Exercise Physiologist at Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center in Spokane, WA

Schedule Details: Supplemental or On Call, Day Shift

Under the general direction of the Manager - Cardiac Pulmonary Services, the Exercise Physiologist clinician provides direct patient care for outpatients by utilizing appropriate knowledge and skills in collaboration with other members of the health care team; providing skilled, creative discipline-specific therapeutic services to cardiopulmonary rehab patients. This includes standardized fitness assessments and exercise prescription of all assigned patients, and the development of a treatment plan. May supervise volunteers or other support personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: Graduation from an accredited Exercise Science/Sport Science program
• Completion of internship
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• AHA-ALS certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of experience in an exercise related position (i.e., Exercise Instructor, Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer or Instructor, Personal Trainer) which may include school internship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• ACSM-CEP Certification
• 1 year of cardiopulmonary rehab experience, and/or stress testing
• Completion of a clinical internship
