What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Patient Access position at Providence Health?

Description " Manages all activities and functions of Patient Registration Services", Patient Scheduling, Call Center activities, and Authorizations for facility-based services at the Ballard Campus. Provides excellent customer service to patients and Physician offices. Assures timely, accurate and compliant registrations consistent with excellent revenue cycle outcomes. Provides leadership and direction to department supervisory staff. Serves as management liaison with all point of service registration areas within Swedish. Serves as management contact for all clinical areas serviced by Ballard Patient Registration and Scheduling. Coordinates services and improvement opportunities with the regional business office. Resolves problems impacting an efficient revenue cycle. Participates in or leads process improvement and development for customer service, patient care, revenue management and technology implementation. Able to perform all duties of scheduling and registration of patients in inpatient setting the Emergency Department and hospital-based departments. In addition to oversight of Ballard Patient Access, manages Ballard's Business Healthlink Department. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with course emphasis in Management, Business, Health Care Administration or closely related field or Participation in an accredited academic program with a targeted completion date 4 years experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting working in admitting, patient finance, registration services or other closely related department Previous supervisory experience Experience establishing," measuring and tracking performance metrics Preferred Qualifications: CHAM (Certified Health Access Manager) upon hire Previous management experience Why Join Providence?
