SUMMARY: The Sales Coordinator is responsible for answering phones, emails and other forms of communication regarding and responding to all sales inquiries accurately, timely and in a professional manner. Support the sales process from first inquiry through guest stay. Contribute positively as a member of the hotel team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Hampton Inn and Suites and SpringHill Suites, Ridgecrest, CA
- Promotes the brands with thorough knowledge of each
- Perform clerical duties such as preparing correspondence and reports, filing, and answering phones
- Maintain and upkeep various filing systems, including vendor information where necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating sales files.
- Coordination of all groups as contracted by the Sales team. Contact and provide appropriate follow-up on all signed/contracted business and determine and coordinate all needs of the customer.
- Responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure that the meeting and related functions are executed to exceed the clients expectations.
- Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
- Assist managers in scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangements for business trips as required.
- Assist in reaching out to prospective groups or transient business leads to secure business
- Is cross-trained to assist in other departments such as front desk and breakfast attendant to assist in ensuring total satisfaction of groups and also to assist during times of low productivity in Sales.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Performs work with little or no supervision; works productively and independently

- Above average computer and communication skills
- Accurate grammar and writing skills
- Able to portray hospitality and knowledge over the phone
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- At least one-two years of previous sales and/or catering coordinator experience preferred. Some administrative or sales experience required.

SALARY: $18 - $20 hour
HOURS: variable within 40 hour week
