What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Neurovascular - Medical Surgical position at Providence RN?
**Job Title:** RN – Neurovascular, Medical Surgical Unit
This is a .9 FTE, night shift opening (7pm-7:30am, varied days, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.
We are an accredited comprehensive stroke center and epilepsy unit. This specialized unit cares for post-operative neurosurgery and EMU patients.
Possible treatments may include endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) or thrombolysis. Stroke patients generally stay in the hospital for approximately five to seven days.
The interprofessional stroke team works collaboratively to provide patient and family-centred and evidence-based stroke care.
Additional incentives:
- Night shift differential – $10.00 p/hr
- Weekend shift differential - $2.00 p/hr
- $6,000 hiring bonus offered for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of Nursing experience
