Infection Preventionist - Associate to Senior Level at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA
This is a combined posting for a Social Worker MSW, and Care Manager LCSW. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Infection Prevention Expert is considered to have expertise in Infection Prevention Expert. An IP Expert is expected to work autonomously and to serve as a mentor to other infection preventionists.
The Associate Infection Preventionist is the entry-level position for Infection Prevention. A candidate for this position must have a sufficient healthcare background but requires only basic infection prevention/epidemiology knowledge, as the majority of training will occur on the job.
The Surveillance Infection Prevention Specialist is a specialized position with a focus on infectious disease surveillance and reporting. This role is expected to work in a predominantly autonomous fashion and should not require mentorship in their role. The role will work closely with other surveillance IP specialists and analysts as part of an overall system surveillance program.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field Or equivalent educ/experience
- Upon hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
- 2 years of Healthcare related experience
- 2 years of Epidemiology experience
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field Or equivalent educ/experience
- 10 or more years in Healthcare related experience
- 10 or more years in Epidemiology experience
Required Qualifications:
