The Project Coordinator is a pivotal role at Providence Strategic Consulting, directly reporting to the Project Managers. As a full-time, non-exempt employee, the primary responsibility involves assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns tailored for Providence clients. This role is based in our Bakersfield office and is not eligible for remote work.
Working hours are typically 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The position requires flexibility, with occasional evening and weekend work necessary to meet client needs and project deadlines.

- Strategic Communication: Assist in crafting and implementing communication plans to advance business objectives for our agency and clients in the Central Valley.
- Event Management:
- Plan and execute community events.
- Organize meetings with key stakeholders.
- Represent our agency and clients at important local meetings (e.g., chamber of commerce, water associations).
- Manage promotional items and event setup.
- Presentation Development: Create impactful PowerPoint presentations.
- Research & Writing:
- Conduct research for client projects and agency initiatives.
- Write articles and stories for client newsletters, transforming technical information into engaging content.
- Graphic Design: Utilize Canva to create compelling visuals for clients.
- Social Media & Digital Marketing:
- Collaborate on social media content for platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Create and manage engaging social media reels.
- Serve as the lead coordinator for digital advertising campaigns while collaborating closely with contractors for effective execution.
- Support digital marketing efforts, including strategy development and execution.
- Manage social media profiles, run campaigns, and measure success.
- Influencer Management: Develop and maintain relationships with influencers to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Coordination with Contractors: Act as a liaison with contractors to ensure seamless project execution and timely deliverables.
- Media and Community Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local media and engage in community relations activities across various sectors.
- Public Affairs Support: Contribute to public affairs campaigns through grassroots engagement.
- Client Support: Provide prompt assistance to clients for urgent needs.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for staff as required.
- Performance Expectations: Achieve a utilization rate of 80%-85%.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Complete other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least two years of experience in public relations or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs.
- Strong community connections and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent organizational, speaking, and writing skills.
- Flexibility for day, evening, and weekend work.
- Valid California driver’s license, car insurance and reliable vehicle for travel in California.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graphic design, video and photography skills.
- Google AdWords certification.
- Speak, read and write in Spanish.
- Public speaking ability.
