Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Compensation: Part Time (20 hours per week), $15.00 per hour
- Upon positive review after four weeks, position becomes PT (20 hours per week) Saturday -Sunday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- During holidays, special events and basketball season hours may vary
- Occasional weekday and holiday

Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to to identify and anticipate custodial and maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- General cleaning includes but it is not limited to classrooms, restrooms, carpets, hard floor surfaces and windows.
- Ability to set-up and tear down rooms before and after events in short time span.
- Respond to approved general maintenance requests from staff and parishioners.
- Provide and assist in security for both buildings, parking lots and grounds.
- Ensure proper storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Empty trash/recycling receptacles.
- Work in close relationship to and coordinate with the Facility Manager in identifying and responding to custodial and maintenance needs.
- Attend regular meetings and appointments.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- One year custodial and maintenance experience
- Ability to lift and/or push 50 pounds
- Reliable Transportation
Accountability:
The performance of each employee shall be appraised annually in writing or
more frequently as deemed necessary. Performance evaluation is intended as a means of measuring and enhancing individual performance, fostering development and career growth, determining merit increases, and meeting requirements for documenting individual performance.
In addition to the regular performance evaluations described above, the supervisor may conduct special written performance evaluations at any time to inform an
employee of performance or disciplinary problems.
Compensation increases are reviewed annually on the employee’s anniversary date, and are based upon both the performance evaluation, and the availability of church funds.
