About the Role:


The Client Solutions Director is responsible for driving new business growth through a proactive, consultative, and solution-oriented approach. This role integrates pre-sales expertise, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to design and deliver scalable, tailored client solutions. Acting as a strategic bridge between business development, delivery, and key stakeholders, this role not only ensures the creation of high-impact product and engineering solutions aligned with client needs, market trends, and organizational objectives, but also oversight and coordination in the smooth transition from sales teams to delivery and account management teams.     

The Client Solutions Director will also guide vertical and horizontal growth strategies, exploring emerging markets and innovation-focused initiatives.


Location: Newton, MA, USA (hybrid work, at least 3 days a week at the office)


Reporting to: Vice President Sales & Marketing


Direct reports: 1-2 Pre-sales Architects


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Solutioning & Business Development

●     Lead end-to-end solutioning, from client engagement and requirement gathering to the development of comprehensive proposals and technical roadmaps.

●     Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Engineering teams to craft go-to-market strategies tailored to strategic verticals and target audiences.

●     Contribute to expansion of revenue streams through targeted solutioning efforts in established and emerging markets (Cloud Products, Data and AI/ML-based technologies, Fintech, Healthcare, PE and Real Estate).

●     Identify and evaluate opportunities for vertical and horizontal growth to scale solution offerings and client portfolios.

●     Keep pace with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and competitor innovations to continuously enhance the solution portfolio.

●     Conduct market assessments to identify gaps and opportunities that inform product and service development.

●     Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to refine and develop solution offerings that address real-time market needs.


Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Leadership

●     Act as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing clients, understanding their strategic objectives and guiding them toward optimal solutions.

●     Secure new contracts by leading discovery workshops, requirement analysis, and technical deep dives to tailor solutions and deliver compelling client presentations.

●     Design and oversee solution architecture to ensure technical viability, scalability, and alignment with client business outcomes.

●     Engage in strategic contract negotiations and manage multi-level stakeholder relationships throughout the pre-sales cycle.


Proposal Management & Solution Design

●     Develop innovative, client-tailored proposals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and delivery. Ensure sufficient level of detail in proposals and presentations that clearly outline the technical solution, scope of work, timelines, and pricing.

●     Ensure technical proposals balance innovation, feasibility, and business needs while being in sync with the organization’s standards and capabilities.

●     Ensure high quality (sales) presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.

●     Create frameworks for consistent proposal quality and customization, ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, risks, and pricing models.


Sales Strategy Execution & Performance Monitoring

●     Collaborate with senior sales leaders to execute and refine targeted sales strategies, leveraging industry trends and competitor analysis.

●     Collaborate with Account Management Leaders on the growth of strategic accounts and ensure alignment with the company’s financial objectives within own area of responsibility.

●     Effectively work on a robust new logos pipeline through proactive and accurate lead processing and efficient management of key sales milestones.

●     Contribute to identification and targeting new business opportunities to grow the company’s customer base.

●     Define and track KPIs, ensuring solutioning effectiveness, client conversion rates, and revenue targets are met or exceeded.

●     Prepare and present strategic reports to senior leadership on solution performance, pipeline growth, and client engagement outcomes.


Leadership in Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery Alignment

●     Serve as a liaison between pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure seamless handoff, accurate implementation, and client satisfaction.

●     Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to ensure that solution offerings stay relevant, innovative, and market-ready.

●     Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering departments to ensure alignment and efficiency in contract development and project initiation.

●     Mentor and coach pre-sales, business development teams, account management teams to enhance their solutioning and strategic engagement capabilities.

●     Lead by example in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Required Skills & Qualifications

●     7 years of proven experience in driving technical solutioning, client requirement analysis, as well as end-to-end proposal management. Strong understanding of the outsourcing/outstaffing technology services and technology consulting industry, including trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.

●     2 years’ experience working in U.S. based software services company with offshore resources and engineering talent.

●     Understanding and working with emerging technologies, particularly within Cloud Engineering, Data, AI/ML, to address evolving market demands.

●     Experience with modern Data platforms such as Palantir, Databricks, and Snowflake.

●     Understanding and working with Healthcare, Fintech, and Real Estate domains will be a strong advantage.

●     Strong presentation skills with proven ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, maximizing value for both parties.

●     Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements while focusing on achieving results.

●     Skilled in working across teams to develop cohesive and executable solutions.

●     Client-Centric Mindset. Skilled at managing client relationships, understanding business needs, and translating them into actionable solutions.

●     Strategic Vision. Ability to conceptualize and deliver innovative client solutions that align with business objectives and industry trends.

●     Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their goals.

●     Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

●     Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend meetings or events, both domestically and internationally.
