Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures governing pharmaceutical services
- Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Coordinate and integrate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services
- Maintain quality control programs and continuously assess and improve the quality of care and services provided
- Provide orientation and continuing education for all personnel in the pharmacy department
- Makes recommendations for space, equipment, and other resources needed by the pharmacy department
- Responsible for annual budgeting and financial planning
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Current registration in the state of Massachusetts as a Registered Pharmacist
- BPS specialty certification preferred
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, including experience with computerized pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
