Clinical Liaison and Marketing Specialist
About the Role
The Clinical Liaison and Marketing Specialist serves as a vital bridge between our healthcare organization and the medical community. This dynamic position combines clinical expertise with marketing acumen to build strong professional relationships, increase referrals, and effectively communicate our services to healthcare providers and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Liaison Functions
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, hospital discharge planners, social workers, and case managers to generate referrals
- Conduct in-person visits to medical facilities to educate staff about our services, treatment options, and admission criteria
- Serve as a clinical resource for referral sources, providing detailed information about our services and how they can benefit patients
- Facilitate smooth transitions of care by coordinating communication between referring providers and our clinical team
- Identify and resolve barriers to admission or treatment
- Track referral trends and develop strategies to address gaps
Marketing Functions
- Develop marketing materials tailored to healthcare professionals and patients
- Represent the organization at healthcare conferences, community events, and professional networking functions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content for digital platforms, newsletters, and promotional campaigns
- Conduct presentations to healthcare groups about our services and clinical outcomes
- Analyze marketing data to identify opportunities for growth and service expansion
- Contribute to the development of the organization's overall marketing strategy
Qualifications
Required
- Clinical background: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent clinical credential
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong presentation abilities and public speaking experience
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the service area
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field preferred, but not required
- Experience in healthcare marketing, business development, or sales
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, insurance, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms
- Demonstrated success in building professional relationships and generating referrals
