What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator position at Prudential Healthcare?
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Volunteer Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating volunteers, as well as accompanying them on field visits to provide support to patients and families. The Volunteer Coordinator will also attend office meetings and work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and effectively matched with patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Recruit, screen, and onboard new hospice volunteers.
- Coordinate volunteer assignments to patients.
- Accompany volunteers on field visits to provide guidance and ensure patient and family needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records and documentation.
- Attend office meetings as needed to discuss onboarding and volunteer assignments.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify volunteer opportunities and provide updates on the volunteer program.
- Promote the hospice philosophy and inspire dedication and compassion within the volunteer team.
