What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Line Operator - Cable (Night Shift) position at Prysmian Group?

What does it mean to be a Prysmian Production Line Operator?
- Monitor plastic extrusion or stranding lines while running to ensure quality/timely production of cables
- Perform machine startups, changeovers and operator preventative maintenance as required
- Perform required measurement checks to ensure cables are manufactured to quality specifications
- Proactively report any production shortfalls, quality nonconformances, and equipment issues swiftly
- Follows all safety, personal protective equipment, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 3 Years of Machine Operating experience
- Ability to pass the Skills Test with favorable results
- Must be able to successfully complete the background check and pre-employment drug testing
- Ability to visually distinguish 12 basic colors
- Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working up to 12 hours per shift
- Loading and unloading of materials as needed with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Manual rolling of reels between 200 and 800 lbs. for short distances with or without reasonable accommodation
