Production Line Operator

Maintain and operate machinery with a focus on efficient production. A reliable machine operator should possess attention to detail and adhere to safety standards. On-the-job training is beneficial for improvement, and being a team player is essential for smooth collaboration with coworkers.

Primary Duties:

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) for production cycles
• Adjust and control machine settings (speed, etc.)
• Feed materials or products to semi-automated machines
• Perform quality checks using measuring devices
• Test machine operations periodically
• Address issues that arise during shifts
• Inspect output for machine-related errors or flaws
• Record approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs
• Ensure regular attendance throughout the shift
• Utilize SOP's, CDA's, and TI's as resource documentation
• Effectively change over machines from one product to another
• Operate machines efficiently to minimize scrap
• Maintain high efficiency on machines and uphold standard uptime and speed

Required Skills/Training:

• Basic math skills
• In-house forklift training
• On-site computer training (SAP, MDC, etc.)
• Measurement equipment training (OD tape, calibers, micrometers, scales, electronic measuring equipment)

Education:

• High School/GED Diploma - required

Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Safety Requirements/Physical Demands:

• Safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection required in production areas
• Able to stand 8-12 hours
• Able to bend/stoop to floor level 30-60 times within an 8-hour shift
• Able to push/pull/roll weights of 115-1000 lbs
• Able to lift 50 lbs
