Position Summary:
We are seeking a self-driven, well-organized Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage our food safety and quality programs. This role requires strong decision-making and time management skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality and food safety activities, including SQF, HACCP, FDA Preventive Controls, and sanitation programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of food safety and quality systems, including FDA Preventive Controls, SQF, HACCP, GMPs, allergen control, and Supplier Quality programs
Manage the sanitation program to ensure effectiveness and compliance
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to Quality and Sanitation team members
Identify and drive improvement initiatives for processes and products
Create and share key performance metrics to evaluate department success and opportunities
Independently lead cost-saving and process improvement projects
Maintain compliance with customer expectations and industry standards
Deliver onboarding, annual, and ongoing food safety and quality training
Serve as lead during customer audits, SQF audits, regulatory inspections, and internal audits
Enforce GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP, and safety program standards
Ensure consistent application of food safety, employee safety, and quality policies
Other duties as assigned by manager
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field
2–3 years of experience in a quality leadership role within food manufacturing
Experience with FSMA Preventive Controls, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF (or other GFSI certification schemes)
Certifications preferred: HACCP, Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), SQF Practitioner
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently
Passion for continuous learning, development, and career advancement
